Celebrity hosts Charlotte Mei and Debra Teng as emcees for the fair, as well as Subhas Nair, Zee. J, He Kong Tin, Zaf and the Scions and GZB performing! We were honoured to be able to share about our work with Mayor Denise Phua, Member of Parliament of Jalan Besar GRC and Guest-of-honour who gave an inspiring speech on Singapore’s climate change and emphasised her support for Bring Your Own movement.
revolv. easily made itself at home at the Bread Without Bags Fair. Held at City Square Mall, the event was a truly wholesome and fun one. Customers were encouraged to bring their own containers and bags to buy the plethora of delicious bakes sold at the fair, and proceeds from single-use bag charges were all donated to Food From The Heart charity organisation. Alongside bakeries which sold their bread packaging-free, upcycling workshops and environmental outreach booths, revolv. found its place as an enabler of zero-waste for people who wished to do their part for our planet but just didn’t have a cup with them. Many were fascinated by our service and struck meaningful conversations with us at our booth. Some even expressed interest to join our team! We were honored to be able to share about our work with Mayor Denise Phua, Member of Parliament of Jalan Besar GRC where the mall is in, and to share the stage with many other inspiring speakers and great performers to introduce revolv. to the crowd!
The fair saw over 1500 visitors join hands in working towards a greener Singapore, saving a total of 1072 single-use bags within the 8-hour event and raising over $850 for Food From The Heart SG.
